Ingredients
1 | cup butter |
1 1/2 | cups white sugar |
1 | tablespoon light corn syrup |
3 | tablespoons water |
1 | cup toasted almonds, finely chopped |
1/2 | cup melted milk chocolate chips or candy disks (1/2 to 1/3 cup) |
Instructions
Melt butter in heavy 2-quart saucepan. Add sugar, syrup, and water. Cook, stirring often to hard crack stage (300 degrees F). Quickly, stir in chopped almonds. Spread into a well-greased 13x9x2-inch pan (not glass) and cool. Spread the top half with melted chocolate. Let harden, invert and spread the other half with melted chocolate.
