Ingredients
| 1 | pound fresh asparagus |
| 6 | bacon strips |
| 1 | 9-inch baked pastry crust |
| 3 | eggs |
| 1 1/2 | cups half and half cream |
| 1 | cup grated Parmesan, divided |
| 1 | tablespoon green onions, sliced |
| 1 | teaspoon sugar |
| 1/2 | teaspoon salt |
| 3/4 | teaspoon pepper |
| 1 | pinch ground nutmeg |
Instructions
Trim asparagus and cut into 1-inch pieces, then cook and drain. Cook and crumble bacon. Arrange bacon and asparagus in pastry crust. In a bowl, beat eggs, then add cream, ½ cup cheese, onions, sugar, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Pour over
asparagus and bacon. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes. Reduce to 350 degrees F and bake for 23-25 minutes longer.
