Ingredients

1 Cup water
1/2 Cup oil
3 1/2 Tablespoon cocoa
1 butter stick
2 Cup sugar
2 Cup flour
1/2 Tablespoon vanilla
1 Teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 Cup buttermilk
1/3 Cup milk
4 Cup powdered sugar

Instructions

Put water, oil, 3 1/2 tablespoons cocoa and 1 stick of butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Add sugar, flour, 1/2 tablespoon vanilla, baking soda, eggs and buttermilk. Mix well. Place in rimmed, 11 x 17-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 17 minutes or until brownies test done. Combine 1 stick butter, milk and remaining cocoa and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla; beat until of spreading consistency. (Adjust powdered sugar and/or milk to achieve desired consistency.)
