Ingredients

1 Cup sugar
1 Cup cooked, pureed squash (or pumpkin)
1/2 Cup low-fat shortening
2 Cup whole wheat flour
1 Teaspoon baking powder
1 Teaspoon baking soda
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon salt
1 Cup chocolate chips

Instructions

Mix sugar, squash and shortening. Stir in dry ingredients and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
